Synopsis

In today's business life, organizations may face many problems. On the other hand, organizations are expected to realize the necessity of effective and professional management for the solution of these problems. Considering the qualifications of managers, their contributions to business processes and the formation of corporate culture; whether they act as a leader or as a manager who only does their job is of great importance for the goals of the organization. The differences between a leader and a manager can generally be observed and recognized by employees. It can be said that employees perceive whether a manager acts only with the official power given to him/her. On the other hand, employees may also perceive whether a manager has leadership power in addition to his/her official power. In this direction, in this study, while searching for the answer to the question “Leader?” or “manager?”, in the light of the data obtained, it was tried to explain the elements that are frequently used instead of managers and cause conceptual confusion.
