Synopsis
One of the most important things that must be done for a film to always be at the forefront is to appeal to the people's feelings and thoughts. When Turkish cinema is examined from the past to the present, it is seen that there are elements from the people in the films that are at the forefront. All directors, producers, scriptwriters and actors who have worked hard in the field of cinema have approached this situation with the necessary meticulousness and produced successful films. One of the ways followed to appeal to the people's feelings and thoughts is to use cultural elements belonging to the people in films. In this way, the narratives and narrative heroes of oral culture become a source for scriptwriters and directors. In this way, the narrative types that live in the people's memory are transformed into a visual and dynamic narrative and enter a transmission process. In the transmission process, narrative types are sometimes used directly and sometimes undergo some transformations. The jokes of Nasreddin Hodja, the symbol of Turkish humor, are narratives that can meet the scenario needs of movies and television series. In this direction, like other narrative types and heroes, the Nasreddin Hodja type and jokes have also been used in Turkish cinema and television series. Hodja; He has taken his place in Turkish cinema and TV series, sometimes with his jokes and sometimes with his personality. So much so that Hodja is a master and a source of inspiration for many actors who work in the field of comedy. This study examines how these actors represent Hodja in cinema and television.
