Synopsis

In recent years, healthcare services have become one of the most significant components of national economies on a global scale. The rapid advancement of technology and information systems has stimulated the healthcare sector, as it has many others. Particularly in the field of healthcare services, there is a growing global trend toward digitalization in clinical processes. This digital transformation brings with it a range of new technologies. Among the most important of these is artificial intelligence (AI), which has rapidly been integrated into the healthcare sector.

Various AI technologies are now being employed in both administrative and medical processes. The use of AI not only accelerates numerous procedures—especially in diagnosis, treatment, and preventive healthcare—but also significantly reduces costs in both managerial and clinical workflows. On one hand, it enhances speed in diagnostic and treatment phases within hospital clinical functions; on the other, it helps minimize potential human errors.

However, improperly used or insecure systems may pose risks: they can threaten healthcare employment opportunities and lead to misdiagnosis and mistreatment. This presentation explores the role of artificial intelligence technologies in healthcare services, highlighting both their positive contributions and potential drawbacks.
