Synopsis
Autism is a neurodevelopmental disorder that presents symptoms in early childhood. This condition significantly affects individuals' personal and social lives. Although the etiology of autism is not fully understood, there is currently no effective pharmacological treatment targeting its clinical presentation. The most effective approach we can adopt in this field is to raise awareness about autism. Rather than viewing autism as a deficiency, we should recognize it as a different ability. With this purpose, April 2nd is celebrated each year as a special day dedicated to raising awareness about individuals with autism spectrum disorder.
