Synopsis

This book examines the engineering applications, performance, and environmental impacts of plastic-derived fuels produced through green chemistry principles in internal combustion engines (ICEs). The production of plastic fuels via pyrolysis and catalytic processes, their combustion efficiency, and optimization strategies in ICEs are explored in detail. Environmental impacts, such as emissions (PM2.5, NOx) and water pollution, are assessed alongside engineering solutions, including low-emission catalysts and waste management. Additionally, the effects of plastic fuels on sports and occupational safety are analyzed through biophysical perspectives, focusing on young athletes and workers, with recommendations for environmentally friendly fuel technologies. By integrating engineering, environmental science, and sustainable energy, the book aims to shape the future of plastic-derived fuels.
