Synopsis

Today, it is obvious that organizational cultures do not go with practices and procedures from the past. The elements that make up the cultures of organizations consist of basic concepts such as values, norms, stories, legends, myths and assumptions. Organizational culture comes by transferring these elements from the past to the present. It is seen that they are managed in the old way in traditional organizations and that they have lost their importance today. With the implementation of digitalization in almost every organization, it is seen that procedures and ways of doing business have been transformed. It has become inevitable for organizations to keep up with the transformation according to the needs of the age. The best example was seen during the COVID pandemic. While organizations that can switch to digitalization can survive, organizations that are far from digitalization could not survive. With the adaptation of the staff working in the organization to working conditions from home, it was made easier to provide the service from outside the organization. The procedures and cultures of organizations transformed by digitalization are also shaped by the new transformation. Digital transformation has advantages for both the organization and the personnel. Transformation is essential and preferable criteria in order to maintain its existence and compete with rival organizations.
