Synopsis

This section addresses the fundamental changes facing the business world in the global transformation process of the 21st century within the framework of a people-oriented management approach. Technological developments such as digitalisation, artificial intelligence, big data and remote working are not only transforming the way business is conducted, but also leadership styles, organisational structures and the employee experience. This transformation, which places people at its centre, necessitates the development of new-generation management paradigms that take into account the psychological, cultural and social needs of individuals.

First, the effects of digitalisation and remote working processes on work life were analysed. Next, the concepts of cultural intelligence and psychological compatibility in global teams were discussed, emphasising the need for individuals to develop cultural awareness for the effective management of multicultural teams. Third, the concept of digital leadership was evaluated.

The second half of the chapter focuses on organisational psychology in global transformation. First, the concepts of organisational and psychological resilience are presented as two indispensable elements for sustainable success in contemporary work environments characterised by change and crises. Finally, the topics of psychological safety and innovation culture are addressed.

In general, this section strongly emphasises that, in order for organisations to gain a sustainable competitive advantage in the digital age, they must adopt a management approach that focuses on people, has a high level of cultural awareness and is based on psychological security. In conclusion, the human-centred organisational structures required by the digital age must be built holistically around psychological safety, cultural intelligence, leadership sensitivity and resilience, in addition to technological developments. This section aims to provide a strong theoretical and practical framework for both academic literature and practitioners.
