The enhance of digital technologies has also increased the security threats individuals face in digital environments. Children and young people, in particular, are among the groups that actively use the internet and can be vulnerable to various cyber risks. For this reason, it is of great importance to raise digital security awareness at an early age.

Education enables individuals to gain awareness about digital security, recognize risks, and develop safe internet use habits. Digital security-based content should be integrated into educational curricula from primary school to university. In addition, teachers and families being aware of this issue is important in protecting students against threats they may encounter in the digital world.

The purpose of this study is to reveal how digital security awareness can be developed through education and to examine the effects of this process on individuals. For this purpose, how digital security training can be designed, difficulties encountered in practice, and solution suggestions are discussed. At the same time, examples from the world and Turkey are also included. As a result, raising digital security awareness concerns not only individuals but also society, and this awareness can be achieved through an effective education process.
