Synopsis
Sports performance is determined by the effective management of mental processes, as well as physical abilities. Athletic mental energy refers to athletes' ability to maintain focus and attention by utilizing their cognitive, affective, and motivational resources. The decision-making process involves selecting and implementing the most appropriate option among available options and plays a critical role in strategic in-game actions.
Athletes with high mental energy accurately interpret environmental cues and make quick, accurate decisions. A lack of energy leads to distraction and incorrect decision-making. In this context, systematically supporting athletic mental energy and decision-making skills is essential for enhancing and sustaining athletes' performance.
