The agricultural sector is of vital importance and has no alternative as it meets the nutritional needs of the people. In addition, the agricultural sector has various features such as meeting the food needs of the country's population, providing raw materials to the industrial sector and contributing to the national income. The agricultural sector covers economic activities carried out in plant production, animal husbandry, forestry and aquaculture and is the locomotive sector of the Turkish economy. The aim of the study is to examine the effects of agricultural supports transferred to agricultural sector producers in Turkey in the period 2006-2023 on the budget and economy. In the method of the study, information was obtained from books, articles, notices, conferences and internet sources that provide theoretical and practical information on the subject and evaluated. At the end of the study, it was seen that the support amounts made to agriculture in Turkey did not create a burden on the budget since they were below the determined rate. It was concluded that agricultural support payments, when transferred to the agricultural sector with the right strategies, would have positive effects on the economy.
