Synopsis
This study aims to examine theses and articles on brand hate found in the TR Dizin and YÖKTEZ databases using bibliometric analysis methods. Publications were evaluated in terms of year of publication, language, number of pages, sample size, methods and techniques used, and keywords. In addition, the journals and universities that contributed the most were identified. Theses were analyzed according to the title, type and field of study of the supervisor, while articles were analyzed according to the number of authors and citation level. The study found that quantitative methods and survey techniques were widely used, while the use of qualitative and mixed methods was limited. Increases and decreases in the number of studies were observed over the years, and it was determined that publications with multiple authors were more common and that sample sizes were generally moderate. By examining both theses and articles together, the study makes an original contribution to the literature as the first bibliometric analysis to systematically examine the topic of brand hate at the national level using databases. In conclusion, it has been revealed that academic studies in the field of brand hate in Türkiye are developing and that more comprehensive research is needed.
