Synopsis
In today’s world, the sustainable success of businesses depends on having a well-structured, shared, and internalized vision. Vision is the process of imagining the future, thinking creatively, and acting in accordance with core values. Essentially regarded as a form of “persuasion contract,” vision shapes organizational orientation while uniting employees around a common purpose. In an era dominated by uncertainty and rapid change, businesses need visionary leadership to gain a competitive advantage. A visionary leader is someone who communicates openly, fosters team spirit, and instills confidence in employees. Through these qualities, they enhance organizational commitment and help businesses navigate crises with minimal damage.Domestic and international research conducted over the past two decades indicates that visionary leadership plays a decisive role in organizational change and crisis management. Preventing unexpected crises in businesses, minimizing the impacts of emerging crises, and developing strategic organizational relations require effective strategic planning and leadership competencies. In this context, the successful implementation of strategic management plans is only possible under the guidance of a visionary leader. This study theoretically examines the role and importance of visionary leadership in managing unforeseen crises that may arise within businesses during the digital transformation process. Additionally, by evaluating environmental factors through the PESTEL analysis method, the study aims to develop policy recommendations regarding the importance of visionary leadership.
