Synopsis

While international sports organizations offer significant economic, cultural and social advantages to host countries, they also bring various disadvantages. While economic growth provides tangible benefits such as an increase in tourism revenues and infrastructure investments, it also strengthens international relations by bringing together athletes and fans from different countries.  Mega sports organizations have advantages as well as disadvantages in their structure. In this context, high costs can create economic burdens on host countries, especially after the organization. At the same time, these organizations can cause damage to the natural ecosystem. Based on all these, it is important to carry out international sports events within the framework of sustainability principles and with meticulous planning in order to provide long-term benefits.
