Synopsis
While green logistics practices and policies are being implemented quickly and effectively on a globaly scale, this process is progressing relatively slowly in Turkey and contains various deficiencies. In this context, the study aims to analyze green logistics practices from the past to the present both globally and in Türkiye. The study used document analysis, one of the qualitative research methods, and documentation technology as a data collection tool. The study discusses the concepts of logistics and green logistics within the conceptual framework, the activities of green logistics and the benefits that these activities provide. Additionally, the study highlights green logistics practices observed both globally and in Türkiye. As a result of the study, recommendations were provided to increase awareness of the examples implemented globally, and to enhance the effectiveness of policies and practices fort the implementation of these examples by firms engaged in international trade and logistics activities along the Silk Road in Türkiye.
