Synopsis

This section examines the overall structure of the Türkiye Century Education Model (TYMM) and explains how its student-centered, inclusive, and holistic educational philosophy is reflected in physical education teaching. It details how the model integrates multiliteracy, digitalization, sustainability, cultural values, and ethics-based learning into physical education practices. TYMM emphasizes that social-emotional, cultural, and cognitive skills are just as essential as physical development, aiming to foster cooperation, fairness, responsibility, and healthy living habits through sport-based learning environments. The model also adopts a process-oriented assessment approach supported by performance-based tools, enabling a multi-dimensional evaluation of student growth. Through these features, physical education becomes a strategic educational domain within TYMM’s holistic vision, strengthening both movement culture and social cohesion, while helping students develop the competencies needed for contemporary life.
