Synopsis

Finance is an interdisciplinary field that examines the most effective allocation of scarce resources under conditions of uncertainty. Today, the increasing integration of financial markets, the diversification of financial instruments, and technological transformations have made financial decision-making processes more complex. These developments have increased the need for individuals with both theoretical background and analytical skills in finance.

This work aims to address the fundamental approaches of finance theory within a systematic framework and to examine the practical implications of these theories through analytical methods. The topics covered in the book are structured based on models and concepts accepted in the finance literature and are supported by theoretical explanations, practical examples, and evaluations.

The main purpose of this work is to provide a comprehensive and holistic resource for academics and practitioners working in the field of finance, particularly students at the undergraduate and graduate levels. In this context, the book aims to reveal not only the technical aspects of financial phenomena but also their economic and theoretical background.

I would like to thank all our authors, the editorial board, and everyone who contributed to the preparation of this work.  It is hoped that this work, titled “Financial Theory and Applications,” will contribute to the financial literature and enhance readers' analytical thinking skills.
