Synopsis
The working conditions of heavy-duty and medium-duty truck drivers in the logistics sector in Turkiye are of critical importance in terms of both individual well-being and the sustainability of the sector. This study aims to examine the relationships between the job demands, work-life balance, and burnout levels of heavy-duty and medium-duty truck drivers working in the logistics sector. The study was conducted using quantitative research methods, and 300 drivers reached through convenience sampling method. Descriptive analyses, confirmatory factor analysis, reliability analysis, correlation analysis, regression analysis, and mediating effect analyses were performed on the data. The findings from the study showed weak positive relationships between job demands and burnout. In addition, it showed that the work-life balance dimensions of neglecting personal life and work dominated life played a mediating role in the relationship between job demands and burnout.
