Synopsis

This research was conducted to reveal the suitability of using artificial intelligence in recruitment processes, how often it is used, what security elements are included, and the benefits and risks it creates for the tourism sector. Purposive sample and the interview technique, one of the qualitative research methodologies, were used in the study. The scope of the research consists of 3 and 4-star accommodation facilities and guesthouses in the centre and districts of Kastamonu province. The study's findings indicate that the use of artificial intelligence in hiring procedures has not yet spread in a way that is easily comprehensible within a framework of trust; that it presents risks and ethical issues in some areas; that its use in a limited and partial manner seems more appropriate; and that face-to-face interviews may provide a deeper emotional and intuitive understanding of human resources.
