This study examines the multidimensional impacts of the global climate crisis on cities through an integrated disaster management and urban resilience perspective, emphasizing the transition from reactive crisis response to proactive, network-based governance models. Contemporary disasters are no longer perceived solely as natural events; instead, they emerge from the interaction of climate change, unplanned urbanization, and fragile infrastructure systems that generate systemic risks. Although cities are responsible for a significant share of global greenhouse gas emissions, they simultaneously face the most severe consequences of climate-induced hazards. Within this framework, urban resilience is reinterpreted beyond physical robustness, incorporating the continuity of logistics flows, green infrastructure systems, nature-based solutions, and inclusive social policies. The research highlights the local implementation of global policy frameworks such as the Sendai Framework for Disaster Risk Reduction, SDG 11, and the Paris Climate Agreement, and discusses innovative strategies including risk-sensitive spatial planning, sponge city models, and green corridors. Furthermore, it underscores the critical role of urban logistics networks and distributed micro-hub systems during disaster response, proposing green humanitarian logistics and circular economy practices as key components of sustainable recovery. By offering an interdisciplinary perspective, the study demonstrates the necessity of integrating planning, logistics, and environmental governance to enhance cities’ adaptive capacity under climate crisis conditions.
