Genetics, Performance, and Injury in Sports: A Holistic Approach from Molecular Bases to Application
Synopsis
This book examines the multifaceted relationships between genetic foundations, performance, and injury processes in sports sciences from a holistic perspective. The roles of molecular biology, extracellular matrix structures, and genetic regulators are analyzed in light of current scientific evidence, while innovative training approaches such as microdosing are discussed within an applied framework. The limits of genetic predispositions in determining performance and their interaction with environmental factors are critically evaluated, with particular emphasis on the role of genetics in the development of soft tissue injuries. This work aims to provide an interdisciplinary reference for researchers and practitioners.
