Synopsis

In recent years, the global economy has faced a series of interconnected and multidimensional challenges, including pandemics, geopolitical tensions, energy and food crises, high inflation, financial volatility, digital transformation, and climate change. These developments have broadened the scope of macroeconomic policies and renewed debates regarding the effectiveness of monetary, fiscal, and income policies. Today, achieving economic stability extends beyond the traditional objectives of economic growth and price stability to encompass broader goals such as sustainable development, financial stability, equitable income distribution, employment, and environmental sustainability.

This book, Current Issues in Macroeconomic Policies, aims to examine contemporary challenges and emerging approaches in macroeconomic policymaking within the context of rapidly evolving global economic conditions. In addition to discussing conventional macroeconomic policy instruments, the volume provides comprehensive analyses of today's most pressing issues, including the rise of the digital economy, , fiscal discipline, sustainable public finance, the green transition, financial markets, global economic integration, and crisis management.
