Digital and Artificial Intelligence-Based Transformation of Management and Organization: Theories, Structures, and Strategic Approaches.
Synopsis
This chapter examined the concepts of sustainable leadership, digital competencies, and organizational performance, and reviewed the relationships among these three variables based on the current literature. Sustainable leadership was defined as a leadership approach that aims to create long-term value by simultaneously considering economic, social, and environmental dimensions. Digital competencies were emphasized as a multidimensional construct that extends beyond technical skills and encompasses information management, communication, content creation, security, and problem-solving capabilities. In addition, organizational performance was described as a comprehensive concept that includes not only financial outcomes but also growth, operational effectiveness, and sustainability dimensions. Findings from the literature indicate that both sustainable leadership and digital competencies positively influence organizational performance through direct and indirect mechanisms. In particular, organizational learning, psychological safety, organizational culture, and digital transformation processes have been identified as important factors shaping these relationships.
