Synopsis
Exercise is an important tool for supporting physical, cognitive, and social development for individuals with special needs. Regular and individualized programs improve muscle strength, balance, flexibility, coordination, and motor skills, increasing independence and facilitating daily living activities. Furthermore, exercise strengthens self-confidence and self-esteem, supports social participation, and has a positive impact on negative emotions such as stress, anxiety, and depression. Consistent exercise, combined with family and social support, is critical for improving the quality of life and strengthening social integration for individuals with special needs.
