Synopsis

In an increasingly competitive and challenging business environment, companies are increasingly viewing strategic downsizing rather than organisational growth as an important tool for organisational success. Organisational downsizing has become a preferred strategy for increasing efficiency, reducing costs and developing agile management systems. In this process, focusing on core competencies plays an important role in enabling businesses to achieve sustainable competitive advantage. Core competencies enable businesses to differentiate themselves by leveraging their unique knowledge base, technological superiority, and human resource capacity. In parallel, strategic partnerships and joint ventures facilitate entry into new markets by helping businesses share resources, thereby increasing innovation and flexibility. Additionally, businesses can develop strategies to leverage external resources, focus on areas requiring expertise, produce more effective solutions, and manage their own resources more efficiently. With the acceleration of digitalisation, network organisations and virtual organisational structures offer flexible, scalable, and low-cost business structures, providing businesses with numerous advantages. Ultimately, these organisational transformations support modern organisations in quickly adapting to environmental variables.
