Synopsis

The study examines the effectiveness of collaborative behaviors among employees in hospitality enterprises within the context of organizational sustainability. Sustainability aims to ensure balanced development and transformation across generations. Within this framework, the study seeks to reveal the contribution of organizational sustainability strategies to business success, the impact of interactions and collaborative behaviors among employees on this contribution, and the level of this impact. In the literature, the concept of sustainability is generally addressed in three dimensions: environmental, social, and economic. However, in this study, alongside these three dimensions, employee alignment is evaluated in relation to cultural and managerial dimensions, which cannot be considered separately in terms of enterprise success. For this purpose, a quantitative research method was employed, and a total of 441 surveys were administered in a hybrid format to employees working in 3-, 4-, and 5-star hospitality enterprises in the Western Black Sea Region. The collected data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, validity and reliability analyses, Pearson correlation analysis to test the relationship between employees’ collaborative behaviors and organizational sustainability, and finally, regression analysis to examine the impact of collaborative behaviors among employees on organizational sustainability. The findings indicate that there is a significant, moderately positive relationship between collaborative behaviors among employees and organizational sustainability. Within this context, it is emphasized that hospitality enterprises should place collaboration at the center of their management strategies to achieve organizational sustainability. The study further highlights the importance of effective collaboration through proper knowledge and experience sharing, the necessity of team-work training programs, the implementation of cross-departmental initiatives, and the presence of open communication channels. Accordingly, the study provides guiding insights for both academic research and the hospitality sector.
