Synopsis
This study examines the effects of digital transformation on crisis management processes from both theoretical and practical perspectives. With the rapid advancement of information technologies, the scope of crisis management has expanded from physical to digital threats. Digital transformation, through technologies such as big data, artificial intelligence, the Internet of Things, and cloud computing, plays a critical role in the early detection, rapid response, and effective recovery phases of crises. Based on Aslan’s (2021b) model, the study establishes a comprehensive framework linking the four stages of crisis management (pre-crisis preparation, crisis intervention, post-crisis recovery, and learning–prevention) with digital transformation tools. The findings reveal that digital technologies not only enhance operational efficiency but also strengthen strategic agility, organizational learning, and resilience. Despite technical, organizational, ethical, and economic challenges, the study emphasizes that digital transformation in crisis management is not a luxury but a strategic necessity for sustainability.
