Synopsis

This study examines the historical development of women’s representation in institutional knowledge management and their role in the digital transformation process. It addresses digital platforms, open science and open access culture, algorithmic biases, and the impact of women’s leadership on decision-making processes. The findings reveal that women’s active participation in knowledge management not only strengthens gender equality but also enhances institutional innovation capacity, leading to a more inclusive and sustainable management culture. Strategies developed at policy, institutional, and individual levels can increase women’s effectiveness in digital transformation and knowledge management processes. In this regard, the study contributes to gender equality and knowledge management policies in both Turkey and the international context.
