The discipline of organizational behavior aims to develop a comprehensive understanding of the attitudes and behaviors of individuals and groups within organizations, thereby contributing to the effective functioning of organizational structures. Particularly in recent years, social, technological, and cultural transformations have necessitated a reevaluation of internal organizational dynamics and a revision of the theoretical foundations of the field.

In this context, the present volume, titled "Organizational Behavior: Contemporary Approaches in Theory and Practice," seeks to enrich the existing body of knowledge in organizational behavior with contemporary discussions and original perspectives. Each chapter in this book examines current issues in working life by drawing from fundamental questions of the discipline. The primary objective of the work is to approach organizational phenomena not only descriptively but also through a critical and analytical lens.

This work endeavors to establish a bridge between theory and practice by offering original contributions. Topics such as the critical evaluation of management theories within the framework of Popper’s falsifiability principle, workplace loneliness among healthcare professionals, the relationship between organizational culture and ethics, and unethical organizational practices such as nepotism are addressed through an interdisciplinary perspective.

It is hoped that this book, prepared to contribute to the accumulation of academic knowledge, will be of benefit not only to scholars, but also to managers in the public and private sectors, policymakers, and all researchers interested in the functioning of organizations.
