Synopsis
The widespread adoption of digital technologies today has not only transformed data production and analysis processes but has also ushered in an era where human behavior, social relationships, organizational structures, and public services are being redefined. It brings together different disciplines of the social sciences on common ground and requires the development of new conceptual frameworks, models, and approaches. The aim of this study, entitled ‘Multidisciplinary and Innovative Approaches to Digital Transformation in Social Sciences’ is to evaluate the impact of digital transformation on the social sciences from a multidisciplinary perspective. Preparing with contributions from researchers from different disciplines, this work comprehensively reveals the new opportunities, problems and methodological openings created by digitalization in the social sciences. In addition to theoretical discussions aimed at understanding the new social structures shaped by digitalization, the content of the chapters, supported by applied research, aims to offer readers both a critical perspective and a practical evaluation.
This book, titled ‘Multidisciplinary and Innovative Approaches to Digital Transformation in Social Sciences’ is a collection of papers presented at the 5th International Conference on Digital Business, Management and Economics (ICDBME 2025), which was held on October 24–25, 2025, at the Faculty of Applied Sciences, Tarsus University.
